A Houston man accidentally put his foot on the gas instead of the brake as he pulled into his driveway, fatally pinning his wife and mother-in-law to the rear garage wall.
Police say the man's 6-year-old nephew also was seriously injured in the 10 a.m. Friday accident. He was hospitalized for treatment of internal injuries and was in undetermined condition
The women who were killed, ages 66 and 41, had been cooking a meal in the two-car garage when the driver returned from a driver's license office with his father-in-law, a passenger in the car.
Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said the driver, a recent immigrant from Vietnam, confused the brake and accelerator pedals.
Man, that guy must feel horrible. I would probably kill myself if I was in his position.
On a side note, why is your biography written in the 3rd person?
Why not?
Because it is weird.
Make me feel like royalty. Actually, it is a rather commen practice to use the third person when relating an authors biography.
Ah.
...jeez, horrible...
I have done that...but in a parking lot.....didnt hit anyone.....and I saw my brother go through a garage wall....talking and not thinking...
How horrible for him.......he was not hurt bad ..but the wall sure was...
That poor amn he will be in hell now ...terrible thing.....
One vet told me we could have won the Viet Nam war by just giving them all cars.
I can't help but wonder what the purpose and result was regarding the trip to the driver's license office.
That was my thought exactly... was he going to get his lisence renewed or something? that was my first thought.
May God sweep this family up in His arms and offer them comfort and grace.
Is this guy related to that girl that was driving the 'wienermobile' in Wisconsin?
hmmm, as far as I'm aware, the gas pedal is on the right and the brake pedal is on the left for EVERY CAR IN THE WORLD! You move to a different country and suddenly you can't remember?!? I think there may be other motives...
One does wonder at the convenience of wiping out your mother in law and your wife with a single blow.
Anyone find it odd they were cooking in the garage?
